The need for balance and harmony is imperative in this chakra as this chakra is responsible for how we express ourselves. All of our creativity, passion, inspired ideas, sexuality, appetite, goals, ambitions, and healthy relationships are born right here in the lower abdomen. If this chakra is not cleansed or balanced then we risk having all of these aspects of […]
Being grounded is all about having control over your own energy and having the ability to choose how much of it you wish to share. More importantly, being grounded gives you the ability to lessen your sensitivity to the energy around you, be it people or even electronics. The root chakra keeps you grounded. When you are grounded you are […]
Strength is the first of the next 7 cards to represent the lessons of independence. Yellow is the colour of Spirit and is a reminder that true strength has no physicality. Brute force is not the same as mental fortitude. The flowers portray our gentle strength like that of mother nature and the red roses portray will and desire. Recognising that you are as magnificent as mother nature is how you will find your strength. She is gentle and compassionate – both signs of strength, and she wears a white robe representing her purity that she uses for the greater good. She isn’t fighting with the lion, she gently closing its mouth – taming it. But make no mistake, it is compliant and does not put up a fight. She is the boss. The lion represents the carnal self and your inner beast. True strength comes from your ability to tame and balance the beast, but at the same time you must learn not to prepress your passions in the process. Your passion is what drives and feeds you, while repressed passion causes illness and misery. Getting the two right is your responsibility to your Spirit, because sometimes you have to let your lion roar.
Archangel Gabriel, the messenger of the Gods comes in with fire, light and passion, which represents love. He is the messenger of the force and continuation of life. Adam and Eve work in partnership with Eve representing the anima, that which brings IN new concepts and Adam representing the animus, that which brings OUT the concept Eve has brought in. In simpler terms, Adam will help bring the ideas that Eve created to fruition. The Lovers represent the highest concept of duality throughout the Tarot and shows us that you can’t have one without the other. There must be balance and harmony, and this is shown through the interconnectedness of everything in this card. The two stand in the Garden of Eden, which represents awareness of yourself as an individual, which is also the first step to enlightenment. Adam looks at Eve, which shows that the animus or the ego, must sometimes turn to the anima, or the subconscious and intuition. Eve turns to the Archangel showing that she recognises where she comes from, which is the Divine. Eve also stands in front of the Tree of Knowledge as seen with the serpent looking down. Because of this, in Tarot, a serpent or snake will usually represent knowledge when depicted on a card. Either you have the knowledge you seek, or there is something being withheld from you in the form of a secret. This card enforces the importance of emotional responsibility, especially when it comes […]

The Emperor makes up ‘the state’ and is the Fool who is yet to become spiritual. He relies heavily on the Hierophant to remind him of his spiritual responsibilities. The fire shows he rules over the globe he holds with an iron fist and gets shit done. He will not accept anything less than balance and order. He is a warrior that will battle for what he believes in and a tyrant that looks after his own. This is demonstrated by the ram, which is the symbol of Aries – the zodiac that is governed by Mars and the energy of war. The colour red demonstrates his will and the desire to make to make things happen. Note that he follows the Empress. The seeds planted by the Empress will be grown by the Emperor. He is a reminder that sometimes you have to be a bit ruthless with control. You need to structure yourself to own yourself. Make sure to set goals to keep your fantasies in check and to become the master of your own destiny. Focus and discipline will set you free.
The We Are The World card represents the need for all of us to share the riches and gifts the world gives us in order to nurture and feed the whole. The continuation of sharing eventually leads to the acknowledgement that we are all one collective. We begin to embrace our humanity and with that comes peace and joy, which […]
This card takes on the likeness of The Hermit from the traditional Rider-Waite Smith. If you receive this card, you need to ask yourself if you’ve been accurately identifying the true difference between loneliness and aloneness. We are rarely ever alone, but oftentimes experience loneliness. We feel lonely when we are misunderstood or feel unsupported by those in which we […]
If you are fortunate enough to receive this card, the the Divine wants you to remember that life isn’t as serious as you may think it is. If you sat with yourself and asked yourself, “what’s the worst that can happen?” it will always end with ‘death’. However, we must remember that we’ve all died before and that the act […]
