Because the Major Arcana represents the Fool’s Journey, or our journey here as Spirit in the human form, the Chariot is the last card in the Major Arcana that represents us in the developmental stage. This card marks the end of our development and signifies scope and potential. If we choose to move forward, then victory will be assured. Note, that because this is the end of the developmental stage, it does not mean that we cease to learn as shown through the rest of the Major Arcana.
The Sphinxes represent Osiris, Egyptian God of the Underworld, and also the God of regeneration, resurrection, and most important of all, transition. The Magician is the one that drives the Chariot. Notice that he does so through summoning his will through his wand.
The star canopy represents our connection to the Universe and reminds us that we are star dust. The two crescent moons are a reminder that we are influenced by that of the heavens. The mercurial wings signify communication and is the tool that the Magician will take with him on his journey.
Remember that when you are on the Chariot, you will be pulled around by wild forces. As you will need power to gain control, you must ask yourself: where am I sending my will? Wild forces will pull you around if you don’t know where you’re going.
Archangel Gabriel, the messenger of the Gods comes in with fire, light and passion, which represents love. He is the messenger of the force and continuation of life.
Adam and Eve work in partnership with Eve representing the anima, that which brings IN new concepts and Adam representing the animus, that which brings OUT the concept Eve has brought in. In simpler terms, Adam will help bring the ideas that Eve created to fruition.
The Lovers represent the highest concept of duality throughout the Tarot and shows us that you can’t have one without the other. There must be balance and harmony, and this is shown through the interconnectedness of everything in this card.
The two stand in the Garden of Eden, which represents awareness of yourself as an individual, which is also the first step to enlightenment. Adam looks at Eve, which shows that the animus or the ego, must sometimes turn to the anima, or the subconscious and intuition. Eve turns to the Archangel showing that she recognises where she comes from, which is the Divine. Eve also stands in front of the Tree of Knowledge as seen with the serpent looking down. Because of this, in Tarot, a serpent or snake will usually represent knowledge when depicted on a card. Either you have the knowledge you seek, or there is something being withheld from you in the form of a secret.
This card enforces the importance of emotional responsibility, especially when it comes to the need to make an important decision.
In regards to relationships, one must remember that faith will often challenge the lovers, so it is essential to make good choices to stay on the right path. Relationships also have a reciprocal quality that leads to self-healing. Wholeness results from women embracing their maleness and from men embracing their femaleness.

The Hierophant represents the sacred secrets that are or will be revealed. He is the religious leader and the moral and social conscious that the Emperor relies on. He represents the bridge between human and the Divine and all of the traditional systems here on Earth. He governs all human milestones between birth and death and is deeply traditional and sometimes rigid with existing systems.
The Hierophant and the Emperor are interlinked as the Emperor can not exist without the former. The Hierophant gives the Emperor a self-conscious making him less likely to destroy what it is that he wants to create. The Hierophant is the ‘church’ and the Emperor is the ‘state’ and in Tarot, church and state are not separate.
If you receive this card, consider testing the boundaries of traditional aspects in your life. In order to evolve, we must avoid dogmatic thinking.

The Universe is reminding you that in order to move forward with your aspirations, that you need to move on, and you know exactly what that means. This represents a new stage in your life that you are about to embark on and it is time for you to give it the full amount of attention that it truly deserves. You must leave your comfort zone and dedicate yourself to the process. This is the time for unwavering focus and determination. Remember, that just because you leave something behind, it does not mean that you can’t one day return to it. It is just that for today, it is not serving your best interest. People in your life may not understand why you are making this decision, and by default, try to convince you otherwise. Trust that you know the way and realise that it is your journey and not theirs.
Love and Light,
If you are fortunate enough to receive this card in a reading, then you are nearing the destination of your journey. You can slowly dust yourself off and tend to any scratches or injuries incurred during the trip. You have made it and you are definitely on the right path! The Divine is working with you and are currently righting any wrongs that you may have experienced. If you hit another bump at this ending stage, then it is because the Universe is trying to get your attention and wants you to be gracious. The scales are tipping in your favour.

Look into yourself for your personal sense of creative expression and allow yourself to become possessed by the creative Spirit. This will keep you from the stress caused by juggling too many things in the air, which will inevitably lead to the trickster monkey bursting your bubble causing you to drop everything. How many of us have made stupid mistakes as a result of being over-stressed?
The Angel of Emergence signifies that there is going to be a rebirth for you, which is just in time for Spring. She is telling you that you are about to experience a wonderful emergence and transformation in your life. For a while now, you’ve known that you weren’t being your true self as a result of being concerned that it will offend other people; however, now is the time to let your inner beauty shine. Worship yourself for the talented and wonderful person that you are, and embrace your newfound confidence. This is the required next step for you manifesting your ideas – a gift that is being brought to you by the Goddess of Nature. Your dreams are starting to materialise and it needs an ounce of confidence to push what once was an idea into the physical realm.
Love and Light,
The Emperor makes up ‘the state’ and is the Fool who is yet to become spiritual. He relies heavily on the Hierophant to remind him of his spiritual responsibilities. The fire shows he rules over the globe he holds with an iron fist and gets shit done. He will not accept anything less than balance and order. He is a warrior that will battle for what he believes in and a tyrant that looks after his own. This is demonstrated by the ram, which is the symbol of Aries – the zodiac that is governed by Mars and the energy of war. The colour red demonstrates his will and the desire to make to make things happen. Note that he follows the Empress. The seeds planted by the Empress will be grown by the Emperor.
He is a reminder that sometimes you have to be a bit ruthless with control. You need to structure yourself to own yourself. Make sure to set goals to keep your fantasies in check and to become the master of your own destiny.
Focus and discipline will set you free.
The We Are The World card represents the need for all of us to share the riches and gifts the world gives us in order to nurture and feed the whole. The continuation of sharing eventually leads to the acknowledgement that we are all one collective. We begin to embrace our humanity and with that comes peace and joy, which leads to ultimate prosperity. This is depicted by the people holding hands and dancing with each other. If you receive this card, you must ask yourself…are you being selfless? Am I contributing to the collective?
